Our terms and conditions

PUPILS OBLIGATIONS: You agree that you have a current provisional licence to drive the car which will be checked on the first lesson. The instructor has the right to ask the pupil to share details of their licence via the government website www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence. You will need your driving licence number, national insurance number and postcode. A code will be generated which you will need to share with your instructor. This is to check for penalties and disqualifications for driving insurance purposes. All courses must be paid for prior to the start of the course. This can be paid for anytime before 10 days of the start of the course. A deposit of 30% of the fee of the course will book a course as long as full payment is made before 5 days of the start of the course. This deposit is only refundable if the client cancels before 14 days of the start of the course.

PAYMENT: You must pay for each lesson in advance. Discounts are available for block bookings. If a lesson is booked in advance you must give at least 2 working days notice (a working day being Monday to Saturday) if you wish to cancel. Failure to do this will mean you will be charged whether you are in credit or not. This includes reducing the pre-arranged hours during the 48 hour period prior to the lesson i.e from 2 hours to 1 hour.

BLOCK BOOKINGS: On Block bookings of 10 hours or more there is a minimum of 2 hours per lesson and must be taken within a 6 week period of payment.

TIME KEEPING: Your Instructor will wait no longer than 15 minutes if you are late for a lesson, and you will be charged for a lesson. If you are late for a lesson, the lesson will finish at the original agreed time. In the event that all our 1week2pass instructors are busy we will endeavor to refer you to an independent driving instructor that works in your area. Please note that independent instuctors do not work under 1week2pass Terms & Conditions. The proprietor/owners of 1 Week 2 Pass are not liable or responsible for any arrangement between the referred instructor and the pupil. This includes any monies paid to the instructor by the pupil or guardian of the pupil. Also any disagreement or complaint must be directed solely to the referred instructor.

DRIVERS RECORD: The DSA have developed the Drivers Record to help keep track of your progress. You will need to be skilled in all the key areas before taking your practical test.

MOCK PRACTICAL TEST: The mock test has been developed to replicate as closely as possible the real practical test. As you progress your instructor will agree with you the best time to confirm a mock test. You will run through a test route for 40 minutes, be marked accordingly and given a full debriefing.

BENEFITS: The mock test has been designed to make it as real as possible and will quickly identify any areas of weakness to focus on for final preparation.

If lessons are cancelled and not rescheduled your test may have to be moved to a later date if already booked. Number of lessons is purely an estimate and although usually accurate, may have to be amended either higher or lower depending on your progress. Your instructor will decide whether you are ready for the practical test.

Your instructor reserves the right to cancel the lesson if they have just reason to believe the pupil is under the influence of drugs or alcohol when you get into the car. The full lesson price must be paid in this instance.

Please note. If a learner driver is caught speeding while under supervision or on their driving test, they will face a fine and points on their licence. Also any fines incurred by a learner driver who is caught in a box junction or bus lane while under supervision or on their driving test will be paid by the driver.
